Wilson
Wilson is a 3yo ~14.3h bay gelding from Reveille, NV HMA. This handsome gelding is in training as part of the Trainer Incentive Program. He will lead, load and pick up all four feet before he goes home. He is NOT trained to ride but should make an excellent trail horse with additional training. His adoption fee is $125. Every session with Wilson is a pleasure. He’s letting me touch him on both sides of his neck, his shoulder, wither and back. He’s responding great to desensitization with the lead rope as well. He tolerates it all over his body without issue. We’re still working on him being a little sticky to lead in his stall. Hoping to have him ready to venture into the arena soon!

Wilson had his first leading lesson. He was very good about learning to give to pressure. We also did some approach and retreat. While he’s not sure if he wants me to touch his neck yet I can stand all the way behind him and pet his face and he’s OK with both of those but he’s not sure about touching anywhere else yet. That’s OK, its only the first training session!
